Mix skiing and ski touring

Bormio, a skimo-friendly destination

Five dedicated trails, four high-altitude access points, and an entire mountain area to explore on touring skis.
Stelvio Natural Skimo Trail is a project designed for anyone looking to enjoy ski mountaineering in the Bormio area, following routes developed in collaboration with local Mountain Guides, marked, groomed and monitored throughout the season.
An easy way to put on your skins and get going: whether you want to train regularly, add some vertical metres to your days on the snow, or try ski touring for the first time and gradually discover the sport.
The project has also been developed to adapt to increasingly unpredictable winter conditions. When snow cover is insufficient to start skiing from the valley floor, you can use the ski lifts to reach the snow at higher altitudes and begin your adventure from there.
The trails are spread across different areas of the destination and connect with the ski resorts, allowing you to combine uphill touring on skins with downhill runs on groomed slopes.
Before setting off, check the trail conditions and choose the route that best suits your plans for the day.
