10th edition of the "Premio Viola"

Valdidentro is preparing to welcome the tenth edition of the prestigious Ferriere Arte International Contemporary Art Award, better known as the 'Premio Viola'. This event, organized by the Pro Loco and the Municipality of Valdidentro, and followed with passion and dedication by a number of volunteers, represents an important opportunity to promote and enhance contemporary art in a setting that celebrates creativity and artistic innovation.

Premio Viola is open to all artists, regardless of nationality or age, with the aim of offering an inclusive platform where the quality and originality of the works can stand out. Artists may take part with one work on a free theme and one work dedicated to the theme "Olimpiadi26: Uomo, natura e sport", thus allowing a wide range of artistic expressions.

Participation criteria

The submitted works must comply with maximum dimensions of 100x100 cm, including any frames. Paintings created with any technique and on any support are accepted, as well as graphic works using traditional and contemporary techniques. Each work must be accompanied by a detailed form containing information about the artist and the work itself, as well as a brief curriculum vitae.

Registration and delivery of works

Interested artists must register by completing the appropriate application form by 2 September 2025, which is also the deadline for delivering the works to the offices of the Pro Loco of Valdidentro. It is essential that the works are properly fitted with a hanging device for exhibition, otherwise they will be excluded from the competition.

Jury and selection

A panel of experts will evaluate the submitted works based on criteria of research, quality and originality. The jury's decisions will be final, thereby ensuring a transparent and professional selection process.

Exhibition and awards

The selected works will be exhibited at the Ski Stadium in Valdidentro from 5 to 13 September 2025, when the awards ceremony will take place. Four main prizes will be awarded, including the prestigious First International Contemporary Art Award Premio Viola and the special prize "Olimpiadi26: Uomo, Natura e Sport". Winners will also have the opportunity to exhibit their works in a solo exhibition at the Ferriere Arte exhibition venues.

An opportunity for growth and visibility

Premio Viola not only offers artists the chance to exhibit their works in a renowned setting, but also promotes their professional and artistic growth. The winning works will remain the property of the artists, who will be able to benefit from significant visibility through the organization's communication and promotional activities.

The tenth edition of Premio Viola promises to be an unmissable event for art enthusiasts and for the community of Valdidentro, which proudly supports and celebrates contemporary art. A unique opportunity to discover new talents and enjoy a high-level cultural experience.
