On Saturday, 29 August at 17:00, at Polifunzionale Rasin, at the same time as the opening of the race office, Energy2Run Cancano will host a special moment for meeting, storytelling and getting closer to the race.
Not just a technical briefing, but a light and engaging event to get into the spirit of the occasion, share useful advice, listen to meaningful stories and remember that sport is made not only of kilometres, times and rankings, but also of energy, awareness, health and the ability to start again.
And so Energy Tales is born, a moment designed to accompany athletes, companions and enthusiasts towards race day, through stories and talks capable of giving the event an even deeper meaning.

Nutrition, wellbeing and healthy habits for runners
Among the guests at the event will be Camilla Illini, a nutritionist, who will be at Polifunzionale Rasin in the afternoon and give a short talk dedicated to healthy eating habits for runners and athletes.
An opportunity to talk in a simple and practical way about what can help before, during and after a race: nutrition, hydration, recovery, balance and small useful tips to get the most out of the sporting experience.
The focus will not be only on performance, but on a broader idea of wellbeing: running, moving and preparing with awareness, learning to listen to your body and build healthy habits beyond race day.

Gianni Sasso: nothing is impossible, if you truly want it
Energy Tales will also be an opportunity to meet Gianni Sasso, a paralympic athlete, marathon runner and triathlete, who will take part in the Energy2Run Cancano by running the 10.8 km race on crutches.
Gianni is already connected to Valdidentro and to this event, in which he took part in the past. His presence is a strong and authentic testimony: that of a person who, after finding himself facing an apparently insurmountable obstacle, chose not to give up sport, dreams and the desire to keep challenging himself.
His energy, determination and way of facing challenges strongly convey one of the most beautiful messages in sport: limits often exist, but they can become a starting point.
His experience carries a simple yet powerful question: if he can do it, what excuse do we have to say no in life?
Transplant Sport Club: sport as a second chance
Alongside him will also be Marco Panizza, president of Transplant Sport Club, an organisation that promotes sport among transplant recipients and raises awareness of the value of donation.
The presence of Marco Panizza and other runners connected to the transplant community will bring another valuable testimony to the Energy2Run: that of those who experience sport as a second chance, as a form of gratitude, rebirth and return to active life.
A delicate and important topic, which will be addressed with simplicity and respect through a brief presentation of the association and the meaning of taking part in the race.
Because events like the Energy2Run are not only about bringing people to run in an extraordinary place. They also serve to create encounters, share experiences and give voice to stories that remind us how sport can become a tool for health, confidence and starting over.

An open, simple moment close to the race
The meeting will take place on Saturday, 29 August at 17:00 at Polifunzionale Rasin, during the opening of the race office.
It will be an informal gathering, lasting about an hour, open to athletes, companions and anyone who wants to experience the eve of the Energy2Run Cancano with a deeper perspective.
A way to prepare for the race not only with legs and breath, but also with the right energy.
Because running in Cancano means crossing a unique landscape, but also bringing with you stories, values and motivations that make every finish line something more than just an arrival line.
