Kids’ Summer 2026

As part of Valdidentro’s Kids’ Summer, the appointment with “Traditions in Play” returns: a journey designed to bring children closer to the knowledge, gestures, and flavors of local tradition through hands-on, engaging activities.

The workshop will be dedicated to preparing handmade pizzoccheri, one of the signature dishes of Valtellina cuisine: a special opportunity to discover, while having fun, how a simple, authentic recipe deeply tied to the area is made.

🍝 Let’s Get Our Hands in the Dough

During the activity, children will take part in the different stages of preparation: learning about the ingredients, observing the dough, working it with their hands, and discovering the pleasure of creating something from simple, genuine gestures.

A workshop designed to let little ones enjoy a hands-on experience, where cooking becomes play, discovery, and sharing.

Pizzoccheri are not just a recipe: they are a piece of history, family, and territory.

Through this workshop, children will get closer to a tradition that evokes home, the mountains, and conviviality, learning how much value lies in gestures passed down over time.

👐 Tradition, Play, and Manual Skills

“Traditions in Play” was created with just this goal in mind: to turn local traditions into living, simple, and shared experiences.

Kneading, cutting, observing, and working together will become part of an educational and fun journey, capable of bringing together memory, manual skills, and the desire to be together.

📍 Location

The workshop takes place at the Valdidentro Educational Garden; in case of bad weather, the activity will be held in the Ski Stadium hall.

🎁 A Keepsake for Everyone

At the end of the activity, each child will receive a small gift and a participation card, which will be stamped at every workshop, making the experience even more engaging.

The activity can be booked online or at the Valdidentro Tourist Office.

Rates:

• € 7,00 per child
• € 5,00 per child (Valdidentro residents)

👉 During registration, parents will be asked to complete and sign a liability waiver for participation in the activities and a release of responsibility.
