Kids' Summer 2026

As part of the Estate dei Piccoli di Valdidentro, the Polifunzionale Rasin hosts Wonder Bikes, a creative workshop dedicated to bicycles, reuse, and imagination.

An original and engaging experience, designed for children and families, in which old bicycles saved from scrapping are transformed into artistic tools capable of creating drawings, shapes, colors, and little wonders to take home.

The workshop’s message is simple and powerful: bicycles create beauty.

🚲 Bicycles that become art tools

Wonder Bikes was born from the idea of giving new life to recovered bicycles transformed into creative stations.

Wheels, pedals, chains, tires, and mechanisms become tools for drawing, coloring, and experimenting. Even if they can no longer ride on the road, each bicycle continues to set imagination in motion, guiding children and adults through a journey of play, discovery, and creativity.

The project, launched in 2018, celebrates the meeting of bicycles, reuse, and creativity, turning old bikes into tools for creating and drawing.

🎨 Seven creative stations

The workshop is organized into 7 interactive stations, each designed to offer a different experience.

Participants can move among the various Wonder Bikes, choose the activity that interests them most, and create original drawings and works through the movement, color, and mechanics of the bicycle.

The experiences offered include color-mixing bikes, cycle stamps, spirograph wheels, epitrochoidal bicycles, and a zootrope: curious and surprising tools that combine art, play, movement, mechanics, and imagination.

🔄 A continuous-cycle workshop

Wonder Bikes is designed as an open workshop, with continuous-cycle organization.

Children can come in, try the different stations, and experience the activity at their own pace, always accompanied by adults. Each participant can create one or more drawings and take them home as a souvenir of the activity.

The workshop can welcome around 15 participants at a time; to try all the stations, it takes approximately 30 minutes, but each person can enjoy the experience at their own rhythm.

👨‍👩‍👧 An experience for children and families

Wonder Bikes is suitable for children aged 3 and up and also involves adults, who accompany the little ones at the various stations.

Parents play an integral role in the experience: they help children follow the instructions, use the tools carefully, and cooperate with the other participants in an atmosphere of respect and discovery.

The result is a creative, participatory, and surprising workshop that can captivate not only children, but also teenagers and adults.

🌈 Reuse, color, and wonder

Wonder Bikes clearly and immediately tells the story of the value of reuse: what seemed destined to be discarded can become beauty, play, and possibility.

Through paints, sheets of paper, markers, transformed bicycles, and plenty of imagination, participants will discover that even an old object can offer a new point of view on the world.

Comfortable clothing suitable for the activity is recommended, as it may get dirty or stained during the workshop.

The activity will be organized in 4 sessions, with a maximum of 15 children per session.
