Enjoy Stelvio Valtellina 2026 - Spluga Pass

Also this summer, the legendary Alpine passes of the Stelvio National Park and Valtellina remain free of motor traffic: an opportunity for cyclists to enjoy the iconic climbs in complete freedom.

Great climbs and no smog on the passes

The weekends chosen for the closure to motor traffic coincide with some major events that traditionally attract great interest from cycling enthusiasts.

Now in its 9th edition, the event was created with the aim of promoting the great Alpine passes, offering visitors the opportunity to enjoy the legendary cycling climbs in complete freedom.

The event is free and open to everyone - there is no registration and it is not a competition

• Passo San Marco: Saturday 30 May
  Road closed from 9.00 to 15.00 from Albaredo per S. Marco (SO) and from Mezzoldo (BG)

• Passo Gavia: Friday 5 June
  Road closed from 9.00 to 13.00 from S. Caterina Valfurva (SO) and from S. Apollonia (BS)
• Climb to the Cancano Lakes: Monday 8 June
  Road closed from 9.00 to 13.00 from Fior d'Alpe - Valdidentro (SO)
• Mortirolo Pass from Mazzo: Tuesday 9 June
  Road closed from 08.30 to 12.00 from Mazzo di Valtellina (SO) and from Monno (BS)
• Passo dello Spluga: Sunday 28 June
  Road closed from 8.00 to 14.00 from Campodolcino, in Valchiavenna (SO) and from Splügen (CH)

• Climb to the Cancano Lakes: Saturday 11 July
  Road closed from 9.00 to 13.00 from Fior d'Alpe - Valdidentro (SO)

August

• Climb to Campo Moro - at night: Saturday 1 August
  Road closed from 19.00 to 24.00 from Lanzada, in Valmalenco (SO)
• Climb to the Cancano Lakes: Thursday 27 August
  Road closed from 9.00 to 13.00 from Fior d'Alpe - Valdidentro (SO)
• Mortirolo Pass from Mazzo: Friday 28 August
  Road closed from 8.30 to 12.00 from Mazzo di Valtellina (SO) and from Monno (BS)
• Stelvio Pass: Saturday 29 August (in conjunction with the 24th edition of the Scalata Cima Coppi)
  Road closed from 8.00 to 16.00 from Bormio, Bagni Vecchi area (SO), from Trafoi (BZ) and from Santa Maria Val Mustair (CH)
• Passo Gavia: Sunday 30 August
