Inauguration of the sculpture "Heartbeat of the Stelvio" in the presence of local authorities and sculptor Marco Alberti
The hairpin bends of the Stelvio Pass, the rhythm of the ascent and the emotions of the Giro d'Italia take shape in the Apuan marble work by artist Marco Alberti, created to celebrate the 200 years of the Stelvio Road and donated to the Municipality of Bormio.
The figure of a stylized tadpole recalls the famous Stelvio hairpin bends and, at the same time, the path of a heartbeat.
A symbol that tells the story of the effort of the climb, the link with the Giro d'Italia and a mountain in constant transformation.
