The Department of Culture organizes, every Wednesday in July and August, "Read Bormio, a mountain of words", a series of meetings with various authors.
Reading and discussion of the book "In Search of Eclipses" by Antonella Famà, published by Scatole Parlanti.
Description
Linda is twenty-one and has a stable life: she studies Engineering at university and has a boyfriend, Riccardo, handsome, intelligent, an excellent student with a brilliant future, who seems like the ideal partner. Yet beneath the surface, everything is frayed: her days are marked by anxiety attacks, panic attacks and a sense of emotional inadequacy that wears down her two souls: one rational, scientific like her studies, and one “magical” in which coincidences, love and passion take shape. The encounter with Paolo, a fascinating and elusive physics professor who travels the world photographing solar eclipses, will change her perspective. Linda and Paolo, known as Paul, during a lunar eclipse, will discover that they have a lot in common, will feel like soulmates and a deep but painful bond will be born. The protagonist retraces her two love stories between past and present, laying bare her most intimate self.
Can love save us from ourselves? A journey of introspection, pain and transformation, in search of oneself. A story of rebirth, fragility and strength.
