Autumn 2026 excursions: The bellowing of the stag

Early autumn is the mating season for stags. The males put on a display of bellowing; the forest clearings echo with their calls.
In this way, they seek to intimidate rival males and attract as many females as possible to their harem.
If the bellowing is not enough to intimidate the other stags, it can even lead to a “clash”: a kind of “arm wrestle”, antler against antler.
